Lion King Family Movie Night

We just kicked off our Disney Family Movie Nights to get ready for our Disney Trip. We started with Lion King because they all just love that movie.

The kids got these lions :) I got the super cute idea from  http://www.creativekidsnacks.com/2012/10/15/lion/
It was easy to make and the kids loved it of course.
This was the rest of the dinner for the adults and Serenity went straight for the broccoli too :) That's my girl she loves her broccoli. The broccoli was our "Tree of Life". Our Drum Sticks were our "ZaZu's Chicken Legs"  I got these clever names from http://countingcoconuts.blogspot.com/2012/07/disney-family-night-lion-king.html

These potatoes were very yummy and CLEAN :) I got the recipe for these from http://cleaneatsfastfeets.com/?page_id=797
These were our "Pride Rock Potatoes"

For the drinks we had "Jungle Juice"
What I used since I could not find Passion Fruit Juice anywhere was :
1 part Orange Juice 1 Part Guava Juice and 1 Part Pineapple Juice

Then we had our Snack Bar Area that they got treats from as the movie went on:
(not a good pic :( )

We had our Cheeto Puffs ( the tiger tails)
Our sour worms and Dark Chocolate Rasinets (Timon & Pumba's Grub)
Little Debbie Snack Cakes (Zebra Cakes)

I just used refrigerated sugar cookie dough for these something simple. (Nala's Paw Print Cookies)
Jungle Animals
Instant Banana Pudding with Cool Whip and Animal Crackers (Rafiki's Banana Pudding)

All these free printables I got and  such fun ideas for our snack bar were from http://purplepatchparties.blogspot.com/2012/07/disneys-lion-king-movie-night.html

They really all enjoyed The Lion King as always ♥ Great movie to Kick off Our Disney Movie Nights :)

Charlotte's Web Movie Night

In the end of January we started doing family trips to the library right after Serenity's Dance class. In our first trip we decided to get one chapter book which would be also the first chapter book Serenity has ever read or I should say been read hehe. We got Charlotte's Web. After 4 months haha we finally got through it and after that of course we had to celebrate with a movie night. So on Thursday we did just that and had our family movie night with Charlotte's Web. It was fun and it was nice seeing Serenity remembering a lot of what was happening since we read it :)

We started with a little craft I saw on http://www.allkidsnetwork.com/crafts/animals/farm/muddy-pig.asp I just printed the template of the pig they have on there on to pink paper and then we cut a sponge into two small pieces and the kids dipped their sponge in the brown paint and made their muddy pigs :) They had lots of fun with that!
This was Serenity's finished muddy pig :)
Yes that's Tru with shorts on his head hmmm...my kids haha
 Tru's finished muddy pig :)
For the movie we started with spider eggs (deviled eggs) and then had Pig sandwiches (ham) and spider web soup (Ramen)
For Dessert Charlotte and Wilbur Cupcakes
Charlotte's cupcakes were Oreo
 Wilbur cupcakes were strawberry
About to take a bite.....
Admiring his Charlotte Cupcake for some reason the kids both picked Charlotte ones for the night hmmm I wonder why?!?!?! maybe all the chocolate....

As always we did have our tickets and our paper posting everything we had but mommy was in a rush that night and oops forgot to take pictures of everything like I should have. :( It was a great movie and a great book and I'm glad we did it...we are now about to start Stuart Little we will see how that goes.

Our Family Movie Night~Coraline

We started doing our family movie nights in September of last year a few weeks before we went to Disney World. We did Disney Movies. We have continued doing them not every week but whenever we get a chance I hope we can get to a place we do do it every week. :) Wednesday we did our movie night and we watched Coraline. It was a good movie a little twisted but I guess that's OK hehe. Anytime we don't have a theme to go with the movie we have a concession stand. This time for our concession stand we had chili cheese dogs, popcorn,Diy Smores Mix (with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and golden graham cereal),twizzlers, and rasinets. The kids always look forward to our family movie nights...its a great tradition to get the whole family together and have a good time!

We always make movie tickets to go with our movie nights. Everyone has to get one to watch the movie and of course Rain is always with us ♥ She always has her ticket too.
