Valentines Twinkies on a Stick and Strawberry Shortcake on a Stick

OMG.....You have got to see these!!! One of my all time favorite blogs confessions of a cookbook queen. Can that girl think up the greatest ideas. These I knew when I saw I had to make them. I'm a major Valentines Girl...Pink and Hearts of course why wouldn't I be?? The main reason though is its my Rains Day!! So I am very in the mood to do everything Valentines :) These I also knew would make my Boyfriends Grandparents love me even more so its a win win. Here they are a great idea a great treat an all around great thing :) Twinkies on a stick!! http://www.confessionsofacookbookqueen.com/2012/02/valentines-twinkies-on-a-stick/#comment-23702

This is what you need to make these...Twinkies of course, White Chocolate Bark , Red and Pink Candy Melts,Sprinkles, lollipop sticks, and Treat Baggies I got plain ones and super cute Valentines ones but just used the plain ones so you can see the pretty Twinkies!! You will also need ribbon I just used baby pink curly ribbon.
You want to melt your bark and dip the lollipop sticks in the chocolate and then stick the stick about 1/3 way into the Twinkies place them on a wax paper covered cookie sheet and then place in freezer for about 10 to 20 minutes.
You may need to reheat your bark when you take the Twinkies out of the freezer and all you do now is dip your twinkie into the bark.

I used these little squirt containers bottles to melt the candy melts you just put the candy melts in the bottles and microwave and all done...My chocolate bottle well we had a mishap so that's why you don't see the chocolate on the Twinkies but they still came out super cute :)

Drizzle the candy melts and sprinkle with your sprinkles:)

I had soo much fun with those I wanted to make another version and since Valentines always makes me think of Chocolate Covered Strawberries I made Strawberry Short Cake with Chocolate Bark!! These were actually the ones I really liked....I'm not much of a Twinkies person but I couldn't pass up making something that cute and like I said I could always use more love from the grandparents ;) So for these you need pretty much the same things just instead of Twinkies use strawberry shortcake rolls and chocolate bark everything else is the same.

You know the drill, melt your chocolate and dip your sticks in then stick the chocolate side into your roll! Put in freezer and let sit for 10-20 minutes.
When you take out of freezer dip your roll into the chocolate.

Squeeze your candy melts on and put your sprinkles on :)

With this batch I had a ooopsie on my roll and yes I thought it needed a picture :) I put too much pressure on the bottle and the top came off hehe.

When they are done just let them set in the fridge for about 30 mins or more then put into the treat bags and tie with ribbon and you have a totally fun treat to give for Valentines. These are seriously simple and way too cute to pass up. Go ahead make them!!! Happy Pre Valentines Week!
