IHOP Pancakes

My daughter Serenity LOVES pancakes. When we went to IHOP for her birthday breakfast it made me think there has to be a recipe that is close to the recipe they use here so I went Internet searching and I found a pretty darn good one. It was on top secret recipes . She was very pleased with these as was everyone else in the house.

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups of flour
1 egg
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup sugar
1 heaping tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup cooking oil

Directions:

1.Preheat your skillet over medium heat. ( I always use my Griddle)
2.Mix all the ingredients until smooth.
3.Ladle approximately 1/3 cup of the batter into the hot skillet or on your griddle.
4.When the edges appear to harden, after a minute or two, flip the pancakes over. They should be a golden brown.
5.Cook the pancakes on the other side for a minute or two.

Chocolate Chip Funfetti Pancakes

My Serenity just loves Pancakes!! We actually had to go to IHOP for her actual birthday breakfast, but for pre birthday breakfast I didn't have alot of time because we had to be out of the house very early but I wanted her to have a breakfast made by mommy for her birthday or I should say pre birthday. I found such a fun recipe on Wifessionals. Birthday Funfetti Pancakes It was for birthday funfetti pancakes it really caught my attention. I just wanted to add some chocolate chips because my Serenity has a Chocolate obsession just like her mommy!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups Funfetti cake mix
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
3/4 cup of milk
1 egg
1 cup of Chocolate Chips

Directions:
1. Heat your pan on your stove or I always use my griddle for making pancakes if you use that heat that up :)
2.Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
3.I always use 1/4 or 1/3 measuring cups to make my pancakes. These pancakes work better smaller :) So pour your batter on the pan or griddle and cook for 3 minutes one side then turn over and cook for about 3 more minutes.
4. To make just a bit more chocolatey when they are all done and you are ready to serve add some chocolate syrup!!

Lucky Charms Kind o' Morning

 St Patricks Day Breakfast!

Yep, I realize this is late as with most of my posts...but hey its ok I will get better I'm just trying to get it on my blog for now ;) So this St.Patricks Day thanks to my new best friend Pinterest....I made a few different things! Here's what we had for breakfast. The above picture is Daddy's Plate. We had Lucky Charm Pancakes which were awesome and everyone loved them. Very holiday-ish!! Then on the side we had Green Milk and more you saw right Lucky Charms.

Jessica Walker of www.lilmissbossy.com is actually the one who made the recipe but I just found it on Pinterest and it led me to Betty Crocker!! These were even fun to make ask my daughter :)

What a super cute idea! Simple but looks great and she even has free printables for what I put on the bottles at her site!! Love it!!

I also made Irish Soda Bread the night before for my dad but by the time I got up it was already cut hehe so no pic but here's the link to the recipe. The only thing I did different was add raisins!! I also didn't use much of the topping at all and it was good!!!
